Sales & Business Development

Senior Business Development Manager — Merchants
Own merchant acquisition across Africa, Asia Pacific, and Eastern Europe. Build and convert a pipeline of high-risk and medium-risk merchants across gaming, crypto, forex, and nutraceutical verticals.

Responsibilities
- Identify and engage high-risk merchants requiring acquiring connections
- Build qualified pipeline across gaming, crypto, forex, and nutraceutical verticals
- Attend industry events: SiGMA, ICE, Money 20/20, Fintech Africa
- Manage full sales cycle from first contact to live processing
- Work closely with onboarding and compliance teams to close deals fast
Requirements
- 5+ years in payments sales, high-risk or specialist verticals preferred
- Established network in gaming, crypto, forex, or nutraceuticals
- Strong grasp of MDR, chargebacks, and acquirer relationships
- Experience across Africa, Asia, or Eastern Europe preferred
- Self-starter — proven ability to build pipeline from scratch

Card Issuers
Remote — Global
Card Issuer Programme Manager
Own end-to-end card programme launches for fintech and neobank clients across Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe. Single point of contact from KYC through to go-live.

Responsibilities
- Manage complete card programme launches for issuer clients
- Coordinate between clients, BIN sponsors, processors, and schemes
- Manage KYC, scheme registration, and technical integration timelines
- Maintain post-launch client relationships and scheme compliance
Requirements
- 3+ years in card programme management or issuer processing
- Understanding of Visa/Mastercard scheme rules, BIN management, and issuer infrastructure
- Strong project management across concurrent launches
- Africa or Asia market experience is a strong advantage

Compliance
Remote — Global
AML & Compliance Officer
Lead AML, KYC, and financial crime prevention across all client onboarding and ongoing monitoring globally. Be the compliance backbone as MeridAx scales internationally.

Responsibilities
- Own KYC and AML for all new merchant and card issuer onboarding
- Enhanced due diligence on high-risk clients and PEPs
- Manage ongoing sanctions screening and transaction monitoring
- Prepare and file SARs; liaise with banking partners on compliance matters
Requirements
- ICA CAMS or equivalent compliance qualification preferred
- 3+ years AML/compliance in payments, banking, or fintech
- Knowledge of FATF, OFAC, EU, UN, and UK sanctions regimes
- High-risk business onboarding experience strongly preferred

Operations
Remote — Global
Merchant Onboarding & Account Manager
Guide approved merchants from application to first live transaction, then own the ongoing client relationship. The primary contact throughout their entire journey with MeridAx.

- Guide new merchants through onboarding from application to live
- Coordinate document collection, bank submissions, and technical integration
- Own the ongoing relationship: approval rates, disputes, rate reviews
- Proactively identify issues and escalate to the right internal teams
Requirements
- 2+ years in payments operations, merchant services, or account management
- Understanding of payment processing, chargebacks, and acquiring
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages a strong plus
- Highly organised — able to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
